Terminal 3 Departure Hall is the heart of the fun, featuring a 6.5-metre ship installation with Captain Mickey and Minnie, four themed photo zones from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel, and daily snow shows. Step into the Magic of Christmas on A Great Street at Orchard Road

Venue: Orchard Road

The annual Christmas on A Great Street will transform Orchard Road into a festive wonderland, capping off Singapore’s 60th anniversary of independence (SG60) celebrations with its signature festivities.

This year’s Christmas decorations will incorporate the SG60 logo and Merli into the tapestry of sparkling Christmas wreaths, elegant ribbon swirls and festive lights along a 3.1km stretch of Orchard Road from Tanglin to Dhoby Ghaut.

Four distinctive photo installations celebrating Christmas and Singapore will be positioned along Orchard Road, featuring a trishaw led by reindeer, a miniature version of the main arch with Merli, a giant festive wreath and the iconic Toa Payoh Dragon Playground motif. A dedicated photo podium will also be available at the Main Arch over Orchard Road, in front of ION Orchard.

The Great Christmas Village at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza will feature the iconic 14-metre-tall Mastercard Christmas tree with accompanying snowfall shows at 8pm and 9pm nightly. A Kiztopia Christmas Carnival, complete with exciting new games and rides, alongside festive F&B treats, homegrown craft beer, and unique shopping experiences rounds off the experience! 

The second Great Christmas Village at Shaw House Urban Plaza will feature more carnival delights by Kiztopia. Families enjoy carnival games, photo points with Kiztopia characters, and claw machines by Fun Claw. Last

Back again this year, the Great Christmas Eve Street Party will include live stage performances, roving mascots, pop-up stalls, food trucks, and a Christmas countdown, among other offerings. The stretch of Orchard Road from Paterson Road junction to Bideford Road junction will be closed to vehicular traffic on 24 Decfrom 6pm to 2am to facilitate the party!

Discover 3,000 Sunflowers at Sunflower Surprise in Gardens by the Bay

Step into a Jaipur-inspired floral wonderland at Sunflower Surprise, now blooming at Gardens by the Bay’s Flower Dome until 16 November 2025.

This year’s dazzling display celebrates Singapore-India friendship with 3,000 sunflowers across 20 stunning varieties — many making their debut in rare shades of pink, red and chocolate brown, with some soaring up to 1.8m tall.

Families can wander through vibrant recreations of Jaipur’s famous landmarks like the Hawa Mahal, Amer Stepwell and Patrika Gate, and admire authentic Indian craft highlights including puppets and cultural artefacts. Keep an eye out for the community-created peacock sculptures decorated with over 550 bead-trimmed feathers, symbolising luck and prosperity.

Come Meet the World’s Biggest Known Dinosaur at Science Centre Singapore

A new, epic dinosaur exhibition, DINOSAURS | EXTINCTIONS | US, has arrived at Science Centre Singapore. This largest ever dinosaur showcase in Singapore features two renowned exhibitions, Dinosaurs of Patagonia and Six Extinctions, together for the first time — with a special section by the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum (LKCNHM) spotlighting Singapore’s own biodiversity story.

Organised by Science Centre Singapore and LKCNHM, DINOSAURS | EXTINCTIONS | US promises an extraordinary journey through 400 million years of Earth’s history. The exhibition spans an enormous 3,000 square metres, with 33 rare fossils and 60 full-scale models across three interactive zones, including a massive 40-metre-long, 70 tonnes heavy Patagotitan mayorum, one of the largest dinosaurs that ever walked on earth, and the life-sized cast of “Scotty,” the largest Tyrannosaurus rex ever discovered. 

This exhibition will reveal the dramatic rise and fall of prehistoric life and the five major mass extinction events that have shaped our planet before culminating in a thought-provoking look at the current “Sixth Extinction” driven by human activity on the climate.

Step into Singapore’s tiniest city at TinyTopia from now till 28 Dec 2025 at 743A North Bridge Road, a brand-new exhibition where insects, art, and innovation come alive in an interactive experience for the whole family.

Watch live ant colonies build tunnels inside dioramas of iconic landmarks like Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands, get up close with stick insects, leaf insects, and mantises at the Macro Studio, and marvel at stunning Ant Pointillism artworks created by an artist on the autism spectrum. Kids who love animals can even begin their own ant-keeping journey with specially designed enclosures, while families can join seasonal workshops such as science illustration, macrophotography, or hands-on insect care.

Join The Great Reef Rescue: A Fun & Free Conservation Adventure for Families

For families seeking an engaging and educational day out, a new adventure awaits at PLQ Parkside. Happening from 6 September, Ranger Buddies: Missions Around the World: The Great Reef Rescue offers a free-admission experience designed to inspire young ones to become champions of conservation.

We received an S.O.S – Coco the Tortoise needs our help to save the dying the coral reefs! This exciting event is perfect for children aged 4 to 10 as they embark on a series of activities that blends augmented reality (AR) and physical exploration.

Upon completion of the mission, children will earn an exclusive Ranger Buddies mission completion badge, collected from Tanglin Cookhouse! This is the 3rd of 8 missions happening till 2026, each mission will have its own exclusive completion badge! Make sure to come back and collect the other badges too!

Families can choose between two experiences:

Families can explore vibrant spaces like Colourful Play by Fern Wong, a sensory-rich playground of textures and sounds; Dance Dance Chromatics, where movement sparks bursts of colour; and Kindness Garden, a calming floral installation designed to support neurodivergent children. Other highlights include nostalgic fun at Home Is Where the Heart Is and imaginative creature-building in the Imaginary Peach Garden.

Explore, Climb & Slide at Changi Airport’s New Hub & Spoke Playground

Changi Airport just got even more family-friendly with the new Hub & Spoke Outdoor Playground outside Terminal 2! Perfect for kids 5–10 years old, this free, two-story playground offers plenty of climbing, sliding, and active fun. The highlight? A Dinosaur Lookout Pod at the top where kids can survey the surroundings before zooming down the blue covered twirl slide. Younger children can enjoy a lower-level slide, making it fun for all ages.

Located within Hub & Spoke, families can combine playtime with meals at the café or drinks at the Overflow Bar. The space also hosts regular events, giving even more reasons to visit. Shaded by surrounding trees, it’s a comfortable spot, though don’t forget water, sunscreen, and insect repellent.

Adventurous families can cycle here via the Changi Park Connector and Jurassic Mile, connecting all the way to East Coast Park and the city. Access is easy via Hub & Spoke carpark or follow signs from Terminal 2.

East-side families have something new to cheer about — SkyHop by Yooland has opened at Tampines Point, bringing a futuristic-themed indoor playground packed with thrills for kids of all ages!

Designed by local collective Arterly Obsessed, the space features three interactive zones—Who am I?, What’s my story?, and What can I create?—with activities, such as designing self-portraits, bringing imaginative animals to life with colourful acrylic pieces and overhead projectors, exploring movement through light and shadow, and building with oversized soft blocks. Thoughtfully created with input from the Singapore Association for Mental Health, the space also includes reflection prompts, a Calm Corner, and a community weaving wall to support emotional wellbeing and meaningful family bonding.

Exciting news for families! The beloved Waterplay at Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden has undergone a spectacular transformation, reopening with a significantly expanded space and captivating new features.

For those of you who remember, the previous waterplay zone was just a little wading area for toddler to splash around it. That has changed with the new zone stretching across approximately 500 square meters—more than triple its original size—this interactive play zone offers children an immersive way to explore the wonders of the water cycle through fun and engaging water features. 

Designed to bring the water cycle to life, the waterplay area introduces kids to the concepts of rain formation, transpiration, and runoff through hands-on play. Experience features such as mist zones, wading pools and jets with varying spray patterns and heights!

Located at the roof-top of NEXKidzPlay @ SkyGarden is a popular venue with families as it boast both a wet and dry play space for kids. The play space was temporarily closed and a new refreshed playground was reopened in 2023. The dry toddler’s playground opened in mid-2023 while the wet water play only recently reopened!

The wet water play area, Pirates Sea Adventure, is suitable for children between 5 to 12 years old and offers water play options for families looking for a splashing good time! It offers a main Pirate Ship-themed play structure with a splashing bucket and more, as well as a Giant Octopus slide for little ones to slide on too! There’s ample seating for parents and a changing room for kids too!

Cross over to the Alexandra Park Connector, and you will also find the Alexandra Canal Water Play Area too!

The Children’s Biodiversity Library by NLB and Singapore Oceanarium

The Central Public Library, located at the National Library Building on Victoria Street, reopened on 12 January 2024 with a refreshed children’s section, which brings the wonders of biodiversity – with a focus on marine life – closer to young explorers. This is the first marine biodiversity-themed learning space for children at a public library in Singapore.

The Children’s Biodiversity Library offers new opportunities, including monthly programmes, for parents and children to have deeper learning in marine biodiversity.

The library includes features such as a floor-to-ceiling column with coral- like features, a collection of marine specimens including shark egg cases and coral skeletons, digital content from the aquarium, an outdoor mangrove showcase, and The  Submarine, a room where families can expect regular educational programmes. The library will also feature gamification kiosks with features such as an interactive digital installation where patrons can colour an avatar from NLB’s well-loved Book Bugs series and see them appear on the projection screen.

Head down to any of the participating Fire Stations to meet the firefighters and paramedics, and learn more on how SCDF responds to emergencies! You will even get to watch fire fighting demonstrations, board the SCDF vehicles, don the protective gear and more! Activities may differ according to the station that you visit. 

Open Houses happen every Saturday with sessions at 9 am and 10 am.

Kidztropic Cove – A Play Space for Families to Play, Learn & Bond

After the successful opening of Kidztropic Poiz, Kidztropic opens their second outlet at Annex@Furama! This new play space, Kidztropic Cove offers a space for young ones (below 6 years old) to engage in both structured and unstructured activities, encouraging children to learn through exploration, creativity and imaginative play. 

At Kidztropic Cove, you won’t find massive play structures or energetic play. Instead, Kidztropic Cove allows young ones to engage in imaginative play with a big space with little toys around. There will be different types of toys in different areas to let little ones play with. 

Little ones can play pretend in the little Kopitiam with a local twist, or drive along the road that runs through the playgrounds. There’s also a little ball pit that young ones can jump into too!

The play area has been designed to allow lots of open space with little fixed structures. This allows kids and parents to move around freely, and even to bring toys around as they play. 

There are also lots of seating options for parents to chill and just soak in this parenthood moment, or to take a break while interacting with other parents too.

Kidodo Space Indoor Playground is situated conveniently in Suntec City Tower 3, Level 3. Despite its modest shopfront appearance, the playground stretches far into the shop, providing a variety of enjoyable play experiences for children of all ages!

Kidodo Space offers a wide range of creative facilities, including a large ball pit, ball-spraying machines, light projection play, slides, carousel, trampoline, kids’ electric motorcycles, remote-controlled excavators, and more! 

Some highlights are the variety of ball-spraying machines within the extensive ball pit! From one that shoots out balls like a volcano at high speed to another that collect balls above you to release them over you, these are sure to delight all little ones!

There’s also the remote-controlled excavators are a unique feature not commonly found in other indoor playgrounds. You can control them to dig up sand and balls, then release them at your chosen spot!
