CIËN is a boutique interior design studio based in Los Angeles, known for crafting refined, livable interiors with an emphasis on natural materials, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance. We work nationally on residential and boutique commercial projects, often overseeing both design and implementation with care and detail. Our spaces reflect layered warmth, story, and a sense of calm, balancing historical influence with California ease.

We’re looking for a thoughtful, highly organized, and experienced Interior Design Assistant to support our growing studio. This role is ideal for someone who’s both creative and systems-oriented, and who thrives in a fast-moving but intentional environment.

What You’ll Do

• Support the principal designer through all phases of design, from concept to installation

• Prepare presentations, mood boards, schedules, and design documentation

• Assist with sourcing materials, furnishings, and fixtures—both online and in person

• Communicate with vendors, showrooms, and trades to track orders and gather information

• Help maintain internal systems and documentation (budgets, FF&E, tear sheets, etc.)

• Coordinate site visits and installations (must have reliable transportation)

• Occasionally travel to project sites, showrooms, or warehouses

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3 years experience in interior design or relevant field

• Proficiency in SketchUp; familiarity with AutoCAD, Illustrator, or 3D tools is a plus

• Strong sourcing skills and knowledge of trade vendors and showrooms

• Understanding of layout, color, materials, finishes, and construction detailing

• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through

• Ability to manage multiple moving parts calmly and professionally

• A self-starter who’s open to growth, has a strong eye, and works with integrity

Additional Requirements

• Located in Los Angeles and available to travel locally

• Driver’s license, car, and valid insurance

• Comfort with Google Workspace, Dropbox, Keynote, and other digital tools
